Sr. Construction Manager, Data Center Construction

As our Data Center Construction Manager (CM), you will be part of a diverse, upbeat, and creative team tasked with building industry‑leading, energy‑efficient data centers. You will own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects, provide construction oversight, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for new construction and general capital projects.
- Oversee construction activities, including management of documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, and quality controls.
- Interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, punch‑list, and closeout phases.
- Construct projects from construction start through hand‑off to operations.
- Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
- Manage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors.
- Support commissioning, integrated system testing, and oversight of installed facilities.
- Provide constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
- Analyze and report construction progress and financials, and record key construction metrics.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving construction efficiency and data center resiliency.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience constructing electrical engineering systems, including large‑scale power distribution/generation gear.
- Experience in construction management or program management of large, complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
- Experience in construction of data center delivery (design, commissioning, and construction) or equivalent industrial/manufacturing facility builds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; 7 years of related construction management experience, OR 11+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of general contractor and vendor management experience (RQPs, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project control (cost or schedule) and formulating construction programs for infrastructure and mission‑critical projects.
- Experience delivering multimedia environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance projects, including expertise in CWA 404, NPDES permitting, groundwater protection, wastewater discharge, and natural and cultural resource evaluations.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
Benefits
Base salary range: $139,300.00 – $208,000.00 USD annually (USA, OH, Dublin). Your package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
