About the Role
Node4 seeks a skilled Data Platform Consultant with technical expertise, business acumen, and excellent communication skills to deliver innovative data solutions. You’ll understand client needs, design and implement data architectures, and ensure high‑quality data services that add business value.

Your role is primarily remote with occasional travel to client sites and UK offices for team gatherings. You will lead clients from traditional reporting to data discovery and intervention, using business data effectively and surfacing critical information in the right way at the right time to drive better outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops with clients to understand and capture solution requirements.
- Produce High‑Level Design (HLD) and Low‑Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Implement and configure solutions in accordance with design standards, with support from senior consultants.
- Provide technical authority throughout project delivery, working constructively with clients and project managers.
- Support pre‑sales activities when required, including bid and tender responses.
- Provide technical assurance/governance to clients.
- Work as part of a broader technical team delivering large multi‑technology solutions that include Data and Analytics services.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with the implementation of data and analytics architectures and data modelling.
- Experience writing high‑quality technical documentation.
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Data & AI products, such as Azure Data Services (Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL, Analysis Services), Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and on‑premises equivalents (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS). Databricks experience is desirable.
- Strong query language skills: Transact‑SQL, Data Factory/Synapse expressions, Power Query M & DAX, Python/PySpark (desirable).
- Client‑facing data consultancy experience designing, implementing, and supporting data solutions.
- Ability to lead business and technical discussions.
- Self‑driven ambition to collaborate and learn.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Must hold or be able to obtain Non‑Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV3) status and Security Check (SC) clearance.
