Team
The role sits within the Student Recruitment & Widening Participation Team, which consists of 13 staff and approximately 150 Student Ambassadors.
Role
- Organise and deliver key internal events such as Open Days and Decision Days, coordinating staff members from across the University.
- Organise school and college visits and attend external recruitment events including UCAS and UKUS fairs and on‑site school and college events.
- Manage a portfolio of external schools and colleges, building and maintaining relationships to increase applications.
- Work with data to devise strategies for student recruitment and deliver a whole‑university approach to recruitment.
- Provide high‑quality information advice and guidance to young people and serve as a strong presenter at events.
Required Skills and Experience
- Significant project work experience, with an ability to develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with an ability to connect with and provide information advice and guidance to young people.
- Experience working unsociable hours, including weekends, and travelling across the UK.
- Experience working with data and contributing to the development of recruitment strategies.
- Commitment to an inclusive working environment and openness to flexible working arrangements.
