Are you a technically rigorous architect with a passion for life sciences and laboratory design? A prestigious, family-friendly studio in Clerkenwell is looking for a Senior Project Lead to drive forward a portfolio of industry-defining projects – without sacrificing a life outside of work.
This is a rare opportunity to join an exceptionally well-resourced practice that refuses to compromise on quality. Specialising in high-profile healthcare, life sciences, and higher education, this studio combines technical excellence with an impressive roster of elite clients – all within a culture that genuinely values balance and wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading projects and multidisciplinary teams across all RIBA stages, with a specialist focus on laboratory design
- Coordinating consultants, statutory authorities, and contractors with clarity and confidence
- Authoring and presenting detailed project reports to clients and stakeholders
- Maintaining a strong command of design and construction processes to drive project success
- Championing and evolving the studio's standards of design excellence
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified ARB-registered architect (Part III)
- Proven track record of job running, from concept through to completion
- Experience delivering technically complex, high-quality projects – ideally in healthcare, life sciences, or higher education
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD; Revit experience is a strong advantage
- A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to technical design stages
- Confident communicator with clients, consultants, and internal teams alike
What's on Offer
- Up to 2 days remote working per week
- 26 days annual leave
- Paid overtime at 1.25× your hourly rate
- Strong career development within a supportive, collaborative team
- A friendly studio culture where going home on time is the norm – not the exception
If you're ready to lead sector-defining projects at a studio that invests in its people as much as its work, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV and portfolio to apply.
