Our client, a well established and globally recognised events organisation, is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of one of its flagship international Life Sciences events. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced business that delivers world class conferences and exhibitions across multiple industries worldwide.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and developing strategic partnerships across a global portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from identifying new business opportunities through to closing high-value sponsorship and partnership deals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, engaging and converting new business opportunities across international markets
  • Owning full sales cycles for high-value sponsorship and partnership packages
  • Selling exhibition space and securing sponsorship revenue from both new and existing clients
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders including Director, VP and C-level executives
  • Developing tailored, value‑led commercial propositions aligned to client objectives
  • Managing and growing a pipeline of strategic accounts using CRM tools
  • Forecasting revenue accurately and contributing to commercial planning
  • Collaborating with internal teams including marketing and production to deliver successful events
  • Representing the business at international events and industry engagements

About You

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within events, media, sponsorship or exhibition sales
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing full sales cycles from prospecting through to closing deals
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels
  • Commercially minded with a consultative approach to selling
  • Confident working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) is advantageous
