Quality Inspector

Responsibilities
- You will visually inspect parts to ensure they are correct to the customer's drawing and identify any anomalies
- You will be responsible for inspecting critical and sensitive aerospace parts
- You must understand the inspection priorities within the department to meet production requirements and targets
- You will ensure the paperwork is correct, confirming the customer drawing and the drawing issue status is correct
- Ensure process documents (OIS) are to the correct issue and the contract review has been carried out correctly
- You will review the areas to be coated and calculate the thickness required using the Process Document (PD) and customer drawing
- Check completed parts to customer drawing, job router and PD requirements
- When required, raise NCRs (non-conformance reports), inform appropriate departments and raise endorsements on outgoing paperwork
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inspection within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries
- Must be able to use various pieces of measuring equipment, make mathematical calculations and develop set‑ups for measuring purposes
- You must be able to prioritise work and adapt to changing production/quality demands when required
- Ability to withstand pressures typical within a service industry, from other departments, is needed in this role
- Some heavy lifting might be required
- Good vision and attention to detail are essential

Salary range: £28,000 - £32,000
