Liquidity Risk & ALM Manager (Contract)

Day Rate: £500-550 per day via umbrella
A leading brokerage firm is looking to appoint an experienced Treasury Risk & ALM professional on a contract basis. This is a high-impact role sitting in the Treasury Department supporting the optimisation of capital, liquidity and balance sheet risk across multiple entities, while helping shape the firm's evolving Treasury framework in a regulated environment.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Treasury, with strong exposure to ICARA, regulatory reporting and strategic balance sheet planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Own short-term liquidity management, ensuring robust cashflow oversight and funding resilience
- Lead stress testing and scenario analysis across liquidity, capital and market risk
- Support capital planning across the group, working alongside FP&A and senior leadership
- Deliver regulatory outputs (incl. ICARA, K-factor metrics, disclosures) and ensure ongoing compliance
- Enhance and embed the Liquidity Risk & ALM framework, including policies and governance
- Build and refine risk analytics and MI for senior committees and board reporting
- Partner with the business to assess new products, transactions and balance sheet impacts
- Drive improvements in risk monitoring, controls and reporting processes
Candidate Profile
- Strong track record in Asset Liability Management & Treasury Risk within investment firms
- Experience in capital and liquidity management, ideally within a brokerage, bank or trading environment
- Hands‑on experience in Liquidity Stress Testing
- Hands‑on exposure to ICARA / prudential frameworks and regulatory interpretation
- Understanding of capital markets / traded products
- Professional qualification (e.g. ACT, ACCA, CFA)
- Advanced Excel / data handling skills with ability to translate data into insight
