Your new companyHays Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Southwark to recruit an enthusiastic and reflective Teacher of RE, Philosophy and Citizenship. This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed Humanities faculty within a school that values debate, critical thinking and inclusive education.The role is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers, with strong support and professional development available.Your new roleThe successful candidate will:

• Teach RE, Philosophy and Citizenship across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Deliver engaging lessons that encourage discussion, reflection and ethical understanding
• Support students to develop strong critical and evaluative skills
• Contribute positively to curriculum development and wider school life

What you'll need to succeed

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has strong subject knowledge in RE and related disciplines
• Is passionate about inclusive teaching and promoting mutual respect
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and the holistic development of young people
