Data Delivery Lead
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Location: Farringdon, London (Hybrid - 3 days a week)
We are seeking an experienced Data Delivery Lead to provide interim cover. This pivotal role involves covering the responsibilities of the Head of Product & Delivery while a permanent hire is secured. The successful candidate will ensure that initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to strategic objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Own and oversee the delivery of the data portfolio, ensuring alignment with the client's technology and business strategy.
- Ensure all programmes and initiatives are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
- Maintain tight control of budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
- Partner with senior leaders across Data and Technology to drive alignment and outcomes.
- Provide leadership and stability during a transitional period, acting as a senior escalation point for delivery issues and risks.
- Establish and maintain robust governance, reporting, and tracking mechanisms across the data delivery function.
- Ensure effective collaboration across product, engineering, and delivery teams to maximise performance.
- Support onboarding of the permanent hire and ensure a smooth and structured handover.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior data delivery or portfolio leadership role within large, complex organisations.
- Strong background in data and analytics programmes, ideally within enterprise-scale environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large portfolios, including budget control, prioritisation, and delivery tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience working alongside product and engineering leadership in agile and hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of delivery frameworks, governance, and risk management.
- Ability to operate at pace, quickly assess challenges, and implement pragmatic solutions.
