The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support Alpha Bank London’s bank-wide First Line Quality Assurance (QA) programme within the Operations Controls and Governance function.
You will contribute to the execution of quality assurance reviews across multiple business areas and risk types, helping to provide robust oversight and drive continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to the Bank’s operations while playing a critical role in maintaining a strong control environment.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to move into their second job.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end execution of Quality Assurance (QA) activities within the First Line of Defence, delivering independent, risk-based assurance that key processes, controls and customer outcomes operate effectively and meet regulatory expectations.
- Provide QA coverage across Products, Sales and Operations, supporting core business areas including Real Estate Finance, Private Banking, Deposits, Current Accounts, Payments and Investment Services, while also supporting new and evolving offerings such as mortgages and debit cards.
- Support oversight of complaints and vulnerable customers through thematic and root cause analysis, identification of cross-functional issues, action tracking, and management information (MI) reporting.
- Deliver the annual QA programme, managing activities across the full QA lifecycle from planning through to reporting and follow-up.
- Conduct risk-based testing, including sample reviews, thematic deep dives and control assessments, to identify control weaknesses and process gaps.
- Review and document evidence to an audit-ready standard, ensuring robust and defensible testing conclusions.
- Draft clear, concise findings and practical recommendations, outlining key risks, regulatory or policy impacts, root causes and potential consequences.
- Produce high-quality QA reports and summaries highlighting key risks, themes and trends.
- Track and monitor remediation actions, providing ongoing oversight and follow-up assurance to confirm effective resolution.
