Offer | £90,000 - £100,000 per annum

We are working with a major infrastructure organisation seeking an experienced Planning Solicitor to join their in-house legal team.

This is a high-profile opportunity to support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure and environmental projects, advising on complex planning, consenting and statutory processes across nationally significant developments.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise on planning, consenting and environmental matters relating to major infrastructure projects.
• Lead and support Development Consent Order (DCO) applications and associated statutory processes.
• Provide legal advice on compulsory acquisition, planning permissions, environmental permitting and related regulatory matters.
• Work closely with external counsel, consultants, regulators and internal stakeholders to manage legal risk and support project delivery.
• Support senior leadership teams with strategic legal guidance on consenting strategy and project development.

The successful candidate:

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 10+ years PQE.
• Strong experience advising on DCOs and major infrastructure consenting matters.
• Background in planning law gained either in private practice or in-house.
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic and collaborative approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

This role would suit an experienced planning lawyer looking to move into, or further develop, a senior in-house position within a complex and forward-thinking organisation.
