Role Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Development Solicitor to join a well-established Development & House Building team in Reading. The role offers exposure to a broad range of development transactions, working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters. The successful candidate will benefit from hands-on mentoring, strong career progression opportunities, and a genuinely collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting development transactions through drafting option agreements, conditional contracts, transfers, and related documentation
• Assisting with acquisitions and disposals of development land, providing exposure to complex transactional work
• Undertaking due diligence exercises and preparing reports to support informed commercial decisions
• Supporting development finance matters and gaining experience in secured transactions
• Contributing to plot sales processes and helping improve transactional efficiencies
• Identifying legal and commercial risks while proposing practical solutions for clients
• Building relationships with clients, agents, and third parties involved in development projects
Requirements:
• Experience or demonstrable interest in property development or development transactions
• Strong drafting and communication skills
• Organised and detail-oriented approach to managing transactional matters
• Commercial awareness with a practical problem-solving mindset
• Enthusiasm to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment
• Willingness to participate in networking and business development activities
