Role context
Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management is at an early stage of building its private wealth capital‑raising capability and is seeking a commercially driven professional to help establish and grow this channel from the ground up.
This role is designed for a commercially minded professional with a strong interest in private markets and capital raising, who is willing to be hands on—from preparing materials to chasing meetings—and who wants to grow with the platform as the private wealth capability scales.
Primary Objective
The primary objective of this role is to help create momentum in the private wealth channel, combining:
- high‑quality investor presentations and product communication, and
- proactive business development and relationship building across Family Offices, private banks, and wealth managers.
This is an execution‑led role, suited to someone comfortable working without extensive existing processes, and motivated by the opportunity to build something new rather than inherit a finished platform.
Key Responsibilities
Private Wealth Engagement & Conversion: Establish a structured and repeatable approach to originating and converting private wealth investors.
- Build and maintain a segmented private wealth prospect “database”
- Conduct regular outreach and meetings across priority channels (SFOs, MFOs, private banks, etc.)
- Track outreach, meetings, investment preferences, and pipeline progress
- Progress qualified prospects to diligence/commitment stage
- Deliver commitments from this segment, in line with overall EdR REIM capital raising objectives
- Develop strong product knowledge across EdR REIM’s real estate strategies and communicate these effectively to investors
Capital Raising: Support the delivery of EdR REIM internal equity raising targets in close cooperation with the EdR Asset Management distribution team and/or EdR Private Bank distribution channel.
- Maintain active pipeline with regular stage tracking and reporting
- Lead or support investor meetings, diligence processes, and closing execution
- Ensure consistent follow-up and progression of priority prospects
Product Expertise and Strategy Implementation:
- In close cooperation with relevant fund/portfolio managers, serve as a subject matter and technical expert in Real Estate strategies, providing insights and knowledge as a “product specialist” or proxy.
- Champion and sponsor existing and new investment solutions, articulating strategy, philosophy, market focus, portfolio composition, and performance expectations to both internal teams and external clients.
Marketing Materials: Contribute to, coordinate and maintain high-quality, up-to-date marketing materials to support fundraising and investor communications.
- Maintain and update platform presentation and track record
- Maintain dataroom and core materials library
- Prepare bespoke materials for active fundraising as needed
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery
Requirements / Skills
- Typically c. 5+ years’ experience in capital raising, investor relations, product specialist, or related roles within private markets (real estate, private equity, infrastructure, or similar)
- Strong European market focus; familiarity with cross‑border investor dynamics is an advantage
- Exposure to private wealth clients, including Family Offices, private banks, or wealth managers, either directly or in a supporting role
- Entrepreneurial and pragmatic; comfortable working in a lean environment and building processes from scratch
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver clear, credible investor presentations, translating investment strategies into compelling client‑facing narrative – strong presentation skills
- Comfortable with proactive business development, including outreach, follow‑ups, and relationship building without an established pipeline or team
- High energy and resilient, with a willingness to take meetings, chase momentum, and iterate based on feedback
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across investment, product, and distribution stakeholders
- Top tier university degree – track record of excellence
- Strong sales instincts and commercial drive, with demonstrated ability to originate opportunities, progress conversations, and move investors towards commitment
