Role Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and proactive Dual Service Manager to oversee Cleaning and Security operations at a shopping centre in Kent.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing onsite teams, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers, tenants, and colleagues.

The successful candidate will have strong people management experience within a retail, security, or facilities management environment and be confident managing performance, compliance, and day-to-day service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead onsite Cleaning and Security teams to ensure high service standards are consistently delivered
  • Allocate duties and support onsite supervisors and colleagues to meet operational requirements and customer expectations
  • Oversee payroll and rota management across both departments
  • Conduct HR-related processes including investigations, probation reviews, appraisals, and wellbeing check-ins
  • Ensure KPI targets are achieved and provide accurate reporting for customer and asset meetings
  • Monitor cleaning standards through regular audits and inspections, implementing improvements where required
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, refresher training, and ongoing coaching to team members
  • Maintain compliance across Health & Safety, COSHH, and company procedures
  • Manage recruitment, absence reporting, and staffing levels to ensure contracted hours are fulfilled
  • Maintain positive relationships with the Centre Management team, tenants, and wider stakeholders
  • Manage budgets relating to equipment, stock control, and holiday planning
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are safe, compliant, and fit for use
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on performance, professionalism, and customer service
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained for the public, tenants, and staff at all times


About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing large Cleaning and/or Security teams
  • A good understanding of the retail or shopping centre environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Experience working to budgets, deadlines, and KPI targets
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (preferred)
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using reporting systems
  • A collaborative and supportive management style
  • SIA licence and CCTV licence (preferred)
  • First Aid qualification (advantageous)


You will also be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong organisational ability, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards across the site.
