A leading aerospace manufacturing business in Redditch is seeking a Quality Manager to take ownership of product quality across its precision engineering operation.


This position is ideally suited to either an experienced Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer looking to progress into a management role within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.


The successful candidate will play a key role in driving product quality standards, reducing non-conformances, improving manufacturing quality performance, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently achieved across the business.


The Role


Reporting into senior management, responsibilities will include:


  • Leading all product quality activities across manufacturing
  • Managing customer quality concerns and driving effective corrective actions
  • Reducing scrap, rework, and non-conformance levels across production
  • Conducting root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques
  • Supporting inspection and manufacturing teams to improve right-first-time performance
  • Managing internal and external quality issues with customers and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards
  • Leading internal audits and supporting external customer audits
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and process capability
  • Developing and improving quality procedures, controls, and reporting methods


About You


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Previous experience within aerospace, precision engineering, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of product quality within a manufacturing setting
  • Experience managing NCRs, CAPA, and customer quality issues
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to lead quality improvements across production operations
  • Previous leadership experience or the ambition to step into a management role
