About the role
We are looking for a Global Product Technology Manager (PTM) with a strong focus on ozone-based technologies for water treatment applications.
The role sits at the intersection of technology, product development, and market needs, with the objective of developing and improving products and technologies across their lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, competitiveness, and alignment with customer and business requirements.
The Product Technology Manager acts as a technical reference for the ozone product line, working closely with R&D, Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and Operations, as well as with customers and De Nora hubs worldwide, to translate market needs into robust and scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technical development, testing, and validation of ozone-based products and technologies across their lifecycle.
- Define and maintain technical specifications for ozone systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Contribute to product strategy, roadmap definition, and business cases, including cost estimation and market positioning.
- Monitor market trends and competitor technologies related to ozone and advanced water treatment solutions.
- Act as a technical interface for Sales and Proposal teams, identifying customer needs and supporting solution design.
- Support product certification, validation, and regulatory activities.
- Deliver and support technical training on ozone solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate in cross‑functional and international teams to execute strategic development plans.
- Support technology transfer activities across De Nora hubs.
- Represent De Nora and its ozone technologies at customer meetings, industry events, and technical forums.
Requirements
Must‑have
- Master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related technical fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in the water treatment industry, preferably in Product Management, Product Technology, or Technical Sales roles.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, market dynamics, and customer‑driven innovation.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams in a project or product management context.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to assess market trends and translate them into technical and business opportunities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt technical content to different audiences.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
Nice‑to‑have
- Experience with technology transfer in international or multi‑site organizations.
- Familiarity with basic financial and accounting principles related to product costing and business cases.
- Previous exposure to certification and regulatory processes in the water treatment sector.
