Senior Data Analyst (Commerical)

London Hybrid | SaaS / Growth Environment | Up to £100k

I’m currently supporting a growing software business on a key analytics hire supporting leadership decision-making across finance and commercial performance.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and can combine strong technical analytics capabilities with commercial thinking and clear communication.

This position is less about producing dashboards in isolation and much more about helping leadership teams understand what is happening across the business, why it is happening, and where attention should be focused.

The environment is fast-moving, data-driven and commercially focused, with a strong emphasis on recurring revenue performance and strategic growth metrics.

What they’re looking for:

• Strong SQL capability
• Experience using Power BI in a commercial environment
• Exposure to Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms
• Strong understanding of SaaS / subscription metrics
• Experience supporting finance or commercial reporting
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
• Ability to explain complex findings in a simple and confident way

The role will involve:

• Analysing financial and operational performance trends
• Supporting leadership reporting and strategic reviews
• Building scalable reporting and insight workflows
• Working across finance, data and operational teams
• Helping improve consistency and quality of business reporting
• Identifying trends, risks and commercial opportunities within the data

The ideal background would likely include:

• SaaS or subscription businesses
• Scaleup or high-growth environments
• Commercial analytics/revenue analytics / BI
• PE-backed exposure beneficial
• Consultancy or Big 4 training beneficial but not essential

Hybrid working with flexibility, though candidates should be London commutable for stakeholder sessions and planning meetings.
