You know the kind of project.
A contractor is pushing for an answer.
A detail needs resolving properly, not just quickly.
A client wants clarity.
A package is live.
The design is under pressure.
And someone needs to make the right call without losing control of the scheme.
That is usually where the real Project Architect appears.
Grõ Careers is representing a highly regarded London studio looking for a Project Architect who is already comfortable operating in that space - someone with genuine experience leading projects or substantial packages through RIBA Stages 3-5, and who enjoys the technical and interpersonal side of delivery as much as the architecture itself.
This is a role for an architect who wants to be trusted properly.
What you’ll be trusted with
You will be stepping into a position where responsibility is real.
Depending on the scheme, that could mean leading a project in your own right, or taking ownership of a major package within a larger team. Either way, you will be expected to coordinate, problem-solve, communicate clearly, and keep quality intact as projects move from design into delivery.
The work spans workplace, hospitality, and adaptive reuse, with a strong emphasis on existing buildings and the complexity that comes with them.
This will likely suit you if…
You are already the person who:
You will need strong UK experience across Stages 3-5, solid Revit / BIM capability, and a background in workplace, hospitality, mixed-use, retrofit, re-use, or similarly demanding project types.
Why this move is compelling
This is not one of those roles where “progression” is talked about more than it is delivered.
It is a chance to join a studio where Project Architects are given meaningful ownership, strong projects, and the room to keep growing. The environment is technically respected, the work is substantive, and there is clear value placed on architects who can think well, communicate well, and deliver well.
Alongside that, there is hybrid working, profit share, and a studio culture built around quality, trust and long-term development.
If you are already operating at Project Architect level and want your next move to reflect that properly, this is well worth a conversation.
