Job Description
Kier is looking for a Site Manager based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire to lead highways infrastructure projects for North and West Northamptonshire Councils. The role is permanent, full‑time (40 hours per week) with a salary of £45,000–£50,000, an annual car allowance of £5,900, private healthcare and other benefits. A full UK driving licence is required for this site‑based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects including footpath reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing, surface treatments, drainage improvements, traffic signals and structure repairs.
- Create and champion a positive health and safety culture in line with Kier procedures.
- Ensure site compliance with Chapter 8 and the Construction (Design and Management) regulations.
- Interpret documents, scheme drawings and costing information in line with NEC4 contract requirements.
- Ensure work quality aligns with inspection and testing plans, scheme designs, and current specifications.
- Manage NEC4 change control procedures for early warnings and compensation events.
Qualifications
- HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
- Proven NEC contract management experience.
- NRSWA Supervisor certification.
- 12D Traffic Management and SMSTS qualifications.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
