Overview
I am recruiting for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (with some AI experience) for a NEW AI Innovation Team for a leading global fintech.
This brand new team (embedded within a major global fintech powerhouse) will be building a brand new AI Platform (AI‑driven compliance technology for a platform used across nearly 30 markets).
Within this team you will be shaping the next generation of intelligent systems that transform how financial crime is detected, investigated, and prevented worldwide.
This is a chance to:
- Join a greenfield team and work on a very exciting & innovative project (from the off!)
- Build production-grade AI agents used in live financial workflows

- Shape a platform with massive scale and real impact within weeks
Responsibilities
- Own full-stack features end-to-end, from React frontends to FastAPI backends to LLM integrations – This is a FULL-STACK role in every sense of the word.
- Drive technical initiatives and bring clarity to ambiguous, high-impact problems
- Integrate diverse systems: internal APIs, third-party data (e.g., LexisNexis), warehouses, and external intelligence sources
- Push platform reliability to the next level with monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning
- Mentor engineers and champion best practices across design, architecture, and testing
- Collaborate seamlessly with Product, Design, Compliance, and partner engineering teams
You’ll be one of the senior technical voices steering the platform’s direction + will have lots of autonomy/ trust/ freedom to really innovate and bring your ideas to life…
Requirements
- 5+ years engineering experience
- Deep React + TypeScript knowledge
- Strong Python backend skills (Fast API)
- Solid SQL + NoSQL experience
- Testing discipline and ownership mindset
- Clear, proactive communication
- Experience mentoring teammates
- LLM/AI background (LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, prompt engineering)
- Experience shipping production AI systems
- AWS expertise
- Streaming/event-driven architectures
- Fintech or compliance exposure
- Micro-frontend architectures
- Terraform/CDK
This is 4 days a week in their Central London office
