Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls and additional small works, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm equipment to relevant legislative and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner.
- Use basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
- Work to high health and safety requirements and follow relevant legislation.
- Perform PPM, reactive calls and small works in the fire & security systems industry.
- Conduct service tests, inspections and fault‑finding techniques in accordance with relevant standards/codes.
- Attend and participate in company‑initiated training to keep technical knowledge up to date.
- Share technical and problem‑solving abilities with colleagues.
- Take initiative and work with little supervision.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and small works in fire & security systems.
- Experience with accident reporting, RAMS or similar Health & Safety legislation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Independence and initiative in problem solving.
