We're hiring an Investment Data and Reporting Analyst. Sitting within the Investment Solutions team in our Adviser & Customer function, this role plays a key part in ensuring investment data is accurate, well governed and translated into clear, trusted reporting for customers, advisers and employers. The role also supports senior leaders by providing high-quality insights that enable informed decision-making.
The focus of the role is on reporting on our Investment Propositions, the underlying data, reporting frameworks and insight generation - owning how data flows through reporting, how it is controlled and how it is turned into decision ready insight. You'll enhance core client, fund and management reporting, improve data quality and processes, and help establish clear Sources of Truth for investment proposition data across the business.
This is a high visibility analytical role with genuine ownership, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and influence how investment insight is developed and used to support strategy, governance and customer outcomes.
About the role
- Deliver clear, accurate and consistent reporting on our Investment Propositions for customers, advisers and employers, as well as management information for senior leaders and governance forums
- Own and maintain investment data Sources of Truth, embedding strong data governance, clear ownership, documentation and consistency of use
- Analyse complex investment data sets and translate them into clear, audience appropriate insight, supporting decision making rather than just information delivery. Using insight and feedback loops to continually improve, ensuring that customer needs / wants are catered for and regulatory requirements are met.
- Design and improve reporting outputs, ensuring they are robust, repeatable and aligned to defined data standards and controls
- Strengthen end to end reporting processes, including data controls, reconciliations, risk management and issue resolution
- Support the prioritisation of reporting and data demands, balancing quality, timeliness and resource constraints
- Act as a key point of contact for third party investment data and reporting providers, supporting service oversight, data quality reviews and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the ongoing development of data and reporting capability across Investment Solutions, including tooling, automation and process improvement
About you
- Strong experience working with investment proposition data and reporting, ideally within Life & Pensions, workplace pensions or retail investments
- Proven capability delivering fund, client or management investment reporting using structured, well controlled data
- Strong analytical skills, with experience validating, reconciling and interpreting large or complex data sets
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment data into clear, concise insight for both technical and non technical audiences
- Solid understanding of data governance, controls and risk management in a regulated investment environment
- Experience working with third party data providers, including data quality management and issue resolution
- Confident communicator, able to engage with and challenge stakeholders across investment, risk, governance and senior management
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
- IMC qualification (or equivalent investment knowledge) preferred but not essential
