Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals from base and raw ingredients.
- Support Catering Supervisors with daily supervision of staff.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained.
- Assist in meeting nutritional, dietary, clinical, religious, and cultural requirements.
Experience
- Experience of catering for large numbers.
- Experience of catering in a health care setting.
Allergens
- Allergy Awareness Qualification.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of food production, recipes, and quantities.
- Experience or knowledge of supervising.
- Knowledge of COSHH.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or equivalent.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or work toward on commencement).
- Patisserie qualifications desirable.
- COSHH Qualification.
Requirements
- Good teamwork, leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Self‑motivated, able to work unsupervised, flexible approach to shift changes.
- Friendly and professional approach.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English speakers welcome.
Working Hours, Contract & Benefits
We are offering a permanent contract of employment. Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, covering a combination of shifts to cover where needed on a rota that includes bank holidays and weekends.
