The Data and Analytics team is at the heart of Deloitte’s approach to using technology to bring client data to life, enhancing the Audit and Assurance services we provide and delivering meaningful insights, empowering decision‑making and helping businesses become more resilient, agile and better prepared for the future.
The Risk and Technology Enablement (RATE) team within Data & Analytics is the driving force behind technological advancement within Audit & Assurance. We help transform how we approach audits, deliver value to our clients and shape the future of the profession.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end technology solution delivery – from identifying opportunities and designing solutions to overseeing implementation and integration.
- Bring to life innovative ideas raised by the business, driving impactful change within Audit & Assurance through solutions that address key business challenges and unlock new opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with teams – auditors, data scientists and IT specialists – to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop your technical skills in a fast‑paced, challenging and rewarding environment, with excellent opportunities for career progression within the firm.
Qualifications
- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying analytics solutions to audit professionals.
- Proven ability to consult with stakeholders to understand and consolidate requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.
- Proficiency in developing and documenting modular code in SQL and Python.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including agile development approaches.
- Attention to detail and a structured, thorough approach to delivering high‑quality output, including code, output and documentation review.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- A proactive and results‑oriented mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
Desirable Skills
- Experience developing junior staff.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure to host and deploy analytical solutions.
- Experience using Microsoft Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with React development.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Agile Project Management, including Azure DevOps, GIT and CI/CD.
- Some understanding of the regulatory landscape relevant to audit and assurance.
- Interest and knowledge of current technology trends impacting the industry, including Generative AI.
Location & Working
Based in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff or London with a hybrid working arrangement.
