We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Programme Co‑ordinator to lead the early delivery of the Pride in Place Programme in Leigh Park and West Cowplain (Wecock). This is a unique opportunity to help shape long‑term investment in local neighbourhoods, working alongside residents, community organisations, partners and elected members to deliver real and lasting change. You’ll act as an ambassador for the programme, helping to build strong local identity, opportunity and pride in place.
You’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day co‑ordination and delivery of the Pride in Place Programme, ensuring milestones, outputs and outcomes are achieved. This will include supporting and developing Neighbourhood Boards, leading partnership working, managing programme documentation and risks, overseeing funded projects, and driving effective communication and engagement. You’ll work closely with internal teams, community groups, education providers, employers and national partners, facilitating events, reporting progress, and helping communities shape priorities and investment decisions.
You should have experience of programme or project delivery in a public sector or community‑based setting, with strong partnership working and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll be organised, proactive and confident in managing competing priorities, with the ability to communicate clearly through reports, briefings and presentations. A good level of digital literacy is essential, along with enthusiasm, initiative and a commitment to community‑led regeneration. A qualification in programme or project management, experience of funded programmes, or knowledge of local government would be an advantage but is not essential.
We want our workforce to reflect our diverse local communities, therefore, we encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. www.havant.gov.uk/our-organisation/equality-and-diversity
