We are seeking analytically-minded recent graduates to join our teams providing data and intelligence on the global shipping industry. We currently have a range of opportunities across analytical and business development roles, offering the ability to develop deep expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced industry that sits at the heart of the world economy.
What you’ll be doing
We have opportunities across several areas of our business, including research, valuations and client management roles.
Shipping & Energy Intelligence Analyst
- Monitoring developments in commodities markets and global trade
- Tracking macroeconomic, geopolitical and decarbonisation trends shaping shipping markets
- Analysing data from a wide range of sources to generate insights
- Producing forecasts that inform Clarksons Research’s view on global shipping
- Creating regular intelligence reports and topical analysis
- Collaborating closely with analysts across our global network and supporting clients
Valuations Analyst
- Analysing market data, trends and intelligence across the various shipping markets
- Managing all aspects of the vessel valuation process from client enquiry to execution
- Establishing and building client relationships
- Liaising closely with analysts and brokers across our global network
Business Development & Account Management
- Addressing leads and supporting sales operations
- Demonstrating our digital product range to prospective clients and gathering feedback
- Progressing to take ownership of a sales region
- Supporting business development and account management teams with bespoke client requests, renewals, and ad hoc business development initiatives
You’ll need to have
- A degree in an analytical subject (we’re open-minded)
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills including basic data handling
- The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong motivation and a proactive approach
