Job Description The Social Value Principal Consultant role will sit within the Economics & Economics Development (EED) Team as part AECOM’s Advisory business. The EED Team works across a range of business sectors including energy, nuclear, transport, water, residential, commercial and regeneration and has worked on several major infrastructure projects such as High Speed Two, Heathrow Airport, Sizewell C and A303 Stonehenge. Key Responsibilities Social Value Lead across multiple infrastructure projectsDevelopment of social value strategies to deliver on client social value objectivesDevelopment of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to enable clients to track and assess performance against social value targetsOversee the production of client-ready social value reportingManaging day-to-day client relationships and, where relevant, third-party contractors and other stakeholdersProviding guidance and insight to clients to enhance social value delivery on projects, and sharing best practicesUnderstanding of procurement process in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects and associated social value opportunitiesDeveloping new social value work-winning opportunities, including undertaking business development activities and supporting the preparation of proposals Key Experience and Skills Proven experience gained within a consultancy or client organisation with a focus on social value workKnowledge and evidenced understanding of the implications of the Public Sector Services Act 2012, PPN 001 & PPN002 and other legislation in relation to planning, major infrastructure and urban regenerationExperience writing social value tender submissions and supporting work-winning activities.Strong project management skills and ability to lead small teams to deliver social value requirements on projectsExperience engaging with partners or stakeholders such as employment and educational organisations, social enterprises and charities to develop and maximise social value outcomes.Data analysis, management and presentation skills (strong Excel skills, and experience working with Social Value Portal TOMs System and Thrive would be an advantage)Excellent presentation and communication skills, including experience in leading and chairing meetings Qualifications Additional Information About AECOM Freedom to Grow in a World of Opportunity You will have the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
