Director of Business Development – Financial Services

This role is designed for someone who wants to be front and centre, owning relationships, driving revenue, and shaping how Financial Services growth is delivered in London and beyond.
The Opportunity
You’ll take a lead role in originating and converting new business across the Financial Services market, working closely with senior partners and sector leadership. This is not a supportive or internal‑only BD position , it’s a hands‑on, externally focused sales leadership role with real influence and visibility.
You’ll:
- Drive new client acquisition across Financial Services
- Build and deepen relationships with senior decision‑makers, referrers, and strategic partners
- Own and manage a high‑value sales pipeline from origination to close
- Lead on complex proposals, pitches, and negotiations
- Work with partners to influence go‑to‑market strategy and sector growth initiatives
- Play a visible role in shaping the future direction of the Financial Services offering
Who They’re Looking For
This role is suited to experienced BD professionals from professional services.
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience (c.10+ years) in business development, sales, or revenue generation within professional services (accountancy, advisory, consulting, legal, or similar)
- A strong, credible network in Financial Services, ideally London‑centric
- A proven track record of originating and closing new business
- Confidence operating at partner, board, and C‑suite level
- A commercial, strategic mindset with a genuine passion for sales
- Gravitas, credibility, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
