Role Overview

At Pinsent Masons, you will join an award‑winning, commercially focused Business Development & Marketing function. Working closely with senior leaders across the firm, you will lead and drive the global business development and marketing for our Transaction Services division, which includes Corporate/M&A, Antitrust, Competition and Trade, Tax, Commercial and Employment practices. This high‑profile leadership role involves acting as a trusted adviser to senior clients, accelerating growth in priority markets, and strengthening global brand visibility.

Candidate Overview

  • Deep knowledge of at least two transactional practices, including and not limited to Corporate/M&A, PE, ECM, Antitrust & Competition, Commercial and Employment.
  • Extensive business development and marketing experience in a professional services environment.
  • Proven experience leading business development for a global or regional practice group, sector or division.
  • Demonstrable success in motivating and developing high‑performing BD and Marketing teams.
  • Track record of managing multiple senior stakeholders and driving growth, supporting partners in winning profitable work, deepening client relationships and building brand in target areas of focus.
  • Experience in designing and implementing regional/global sales enablement tools (e.g., global templates, playbooks, infographics, hymn sheets, product propositions, digital assets).
  • Leadership of high‑impact business development initiatives that combine cross‑practice/cross‑sector collaboration to pursue client relationships, revenues and reputation.
  • Proven experience in the design, research and delivery of regional/global thought leadership and activation.
  • Experience using data‑driven insight and AI tools to inform strategy, improve effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
