The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is a large teaching hospital known for its excellence across specialist services. The Simpson’s Neonatal unit is a tertiary centre and provides care for around 850 babies per year within intensive care, high dependency and special care units. These babies have continuously evolving clinical needs and benefit greatly from specialist pharmacist advice. You will also play a role in ensuring safe and effective use of medicines during pregnancy, labour and postpartum working in collaboration with obstetricians and midwives, and with day‑to‑day medicines management of gynaecology and fertility patients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering high‑quality clinical pharmacy service.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of pharmacy services in response to emerging challenges around site capacity and patient flow.
- Working as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, where pharmacists have an established role in non‑medical prescribing.
