The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own case load of property damage recovery claims and subrogated recovery cases.
Role Overview
- Manage a caseload comprising pre‑litigation property damage claims, as well as litigated matters in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court.
- Meet annual time recording targets, balancing chargeable and investment time effectively.
- Understand client expectations and handle cases in accordance with service level agreements and established best practices.
- Effectively prioritise tasks to optimise workflow and maximise operational efficiency.
- Recognise and embrace your role within the wider practice group, proactively contributing to process improvements and managing a caseload aligned with your level of technical and legal expertise.
- Cultivate strong internal and external working relationships to support business development and gain a clear understanding of the Firm’s strategic objectives and client priorities.
Experience Required
- Background in commercial insurance is preferred, though experience in similar areas will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a personal caseload.
- Self‑motivated and capable of providing guidance, supervision, and support to junior team members.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with internal colleagues and external clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
