Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate specialising in immigration law.
- Proven experience handling a diverse range of immigration cases from initial consultation through to resolution.
- Demonstrable negotiation skills with a track record of achieving positive outcomes for clients.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing immigration law in the UK or applicable jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear and accurate legal advice to clients regarding immigration options and requirements.
- Prepare and submit applications for visas, asylum, residency, and other immigration-related matters.
- Represent clients in hearings, tribunals, and meetings with government agencies.
- Negotiate favourable outcomes on behalf of clients while maintaining professional integrity.
- Keep abreast of changes in immigration law and policy to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Draft legal documents, affidavits, and supporting statements with precision.
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to facilitate successful case resolutions.
