Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Underwriting Support to support our underwriting team in assessing risk and administering insurance policies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or further develop a career within the insurance industry and for someone seeking an entry level position. Fluency in Italian is essential, as the role involves communication with Italian-speaking clients or partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing and processing new business applications, policy renewals, and endorsements
  • Prepare and maintain underwriting files, documentation, and policy records
  • Perform data entry and ensure accuracy in underwriting systems and databases
  • Support risk assessment by gathering required information and documentation from brokers
  • Prepare quotations and policy documents under supervision of underwriters
  • Handle administrative tasks such as correspondence, filing, and document management

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in Italian (spoken and written)

Desirable (Non-Essential):

  • Previous experience in the insurance industry or underwriting environment
  • Understanding of insurance principles and risk assessment
  • Experience working with underwriting systems or databases
