Job Title: CAD/CAM Programmer
Job Type: Days based, Perm
Location: Quedgeley, Gloucestershire
Hours: 7am-4pm Mon‑Thurs / 7am-1pm Fri
Pay: Circa £42,000 – £44,000 DOE

Role Overview
CAD/CAM Programmer is responsible for creating, optimising, and managing CNC programmes using advanced CAD/CAM software. This role is fully offline programming and does not involve any hands‑on machining or shop‑floor responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Programme 3 & 5‑axis jobs using Alphacam and/or Fusion 360.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications to ensure accurate toolpath creation.
- Simulate and verify toolpaths to eliminate collisions and optimise cycle times.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, and machining parameters digitally.
- Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability.
- Maintain and manage programme libraries, templates, and machining standards.
- Troubleshoot and refine programmes based on feedback (without operating machines).
- Ensure all programmes meet quality, safety, and production requirements before release.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 4 years programming experience.
- Alphacam and/or Fusion 360 experience is a must.
