We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our growing team. Reporting to our Head of Underwriting, you will manage and underwrite Renovation Insurance, overseeing advice‑led delegated authority schemes in a dynamic, high‑performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite profitable renovation scheme business.
- Underwrite larger, more complex projects which include concierge calls.
- Provide written and oral advice to brokers.
- Provide expert underwriting guidance to support other members of the team.
- Insurance administration of existing policies, including extensions and adjustments.
- Assist with accounts and claims queries.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all key stakeholders, including supporting brokers, insurers and industry experts.
- Attend events, either as a guest or host.
Qualifications
- Cert CII preferable.
- Extensive specialist underwriting knowledge, ability, and experience DIP CII/ ACII preferable.
- Advanced level of specialist market and specialist product knowledge.
- A working knowledge of legal and regulatory Insurance framework.
- Proven, effective training/coaching style.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
