Band 5 Clinical Pathway Manager – Endoscopy

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Endoscopy department at the Royal Free Hospital.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive administrative and clerical service is provided to the Endoscopy department, managing a team of administrative staff. The role will entail oversight and support of bookings within the Unit, management of waiting lists, as well as day-to-day support for the PB (pancreato-biliary) service.

The post holder will oversee, lead, and coordinate the administrative team, including four Band 4 Waiting List Coordinators and two Band 3 receptionists. Ensure that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. To support the operational managers in the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

Be responsible for overseeing outpatient waiting times and patient pathways, assisting the operational manager in implementing appropriate action to mitigate breaches, ensuring pathway coordination in accordance with Trust policy, and to be aware of and support national targets, including DM01, RTT, and cancer, and internal Trust/Divisional performance (via LUNA and PowerBI).

Main duties of the job

This post involves developing strong working relationships and working closely with patient navigators within their team, and other pathway managers. This also involves all key members of the multidisciplinary team within primary and secondary care, and the service users relating to Endoscopy, ensuring all patients receive a consistent and effective service.
