Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic O&G Doctor to become part of the team in Stockport.

The main duties of this post are the assessment of patients, ordering and following up investigations, completing documentation and working flexibly within Obstetrics & Gynaecology. There will be on-call duties and you will be required to work flexibly seven days a week. With regards to commitments to O&G, the successful applicant will work as part of a team of midwives/nurses and doctors in a semi-autonomous fashion as befits their experience.

The post covers duties in acute gynaecology; assessing patients in the Emergency Department and on the Jasmine Assessment Unit, ward rounds and ongoing care of patients on the Gynaecology and Maternity wards. Duties include managing high risk inductions and births on delivery suite, working effectively as part of the MDT, assessing patients in Maternity Triage, running elective cesarean section lists, assisting in theatres, providing support to the post natal wards, attending both antenatal and gynaecology clinics, and participating in regular departmental meetings / teaching and training.
