Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated and experienced Female Complex Care Nurses to join our compassionate team at Yorkshire Community Care, supporting our clients. This is a highly rewarding role where every day you will make a real difference, helping someone live life to the fullest while developing your own professional and personal skills.
Shift Pattern
7am – 7pm Monday – Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Responsibilities
- • Deliver personalised, high-quality care and support tailored to the client’s individual needs.
- • Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility and meal preparation.
- • Tracheostomy management.
- Ventilation management
- Diabetes management
- • Administer medication and monitor health and wellbeing, responding appropriately to any changes.
- • Support community access, accompanying the client on outings, ensuring accessibility and safety.
- • Provide emotional support, encouragement and companionship.
- • Maintain accurate records of all care provided and report any concerns promptly.
- • Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Requirements
- Valid nursing qualification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide effective patient care.
- Experience with Cerebral Palsy, PEG feeding, and seizure management is desirable (training can be provided).
- Confident supporting home ventilation and monitoring respiratory status.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, positive, and empathetic personality.
- Awareness of accessibility needs, including wheelchair-friendly routes, transport and venues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider care team.
- Flexibility to work 12‑hour daytime shifts.
- A calm, resilient and proactive approach to complex situations.
- Someone who can bring warmth, humour and creativity to the role.
