Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior or Graduate Technical Engineer to join our team in a full-time role located in London. The Technical Engineer will perform acoustic assessments, conduct sound and vibration testing, analyse data, and prepare technical reports. Responsibilities also include supporting the design, evaluation, and implementation of acoustic solutions for a variety of projects. Interaction with clients, coordination with multi‑disciplinary teams, and compliance with regulatory standards are crucial aspects of this role.

Qualifications

  • Degree in an engineering related discipline.
  • Experience in sound testing or environmental noise measurements.
  • SITRI certification is desired but not required.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

General Duties

  • Carry out site-based sound insulation testing in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Deploy, manage, and retrieve noise loggers for unattended monitoring surveys.
  • Undertake attended environmental noise surveys across a variety of sites.
  • Install, manage, and collect vibration monitoring equipment.
  • Deploy and retrieve noise, vibration, and dust monitoring equipment as required.
  • Produce clear, accurate test reports and supporting technical documentation.
  • Organise, schedule, and manage acoustic testing and survey programmes.
  • Manage calibration records and ensure all monitoring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Analyse acoustic, noise, and vibration data using appropriate software and methodologies.
  • Prepare site surveys, including logistics, equipment checks, and risk assessments.
  • Update and maintain templates and documentation for survey and testing activities.
  • Assist consultants with building acoustics design work, including sound insulation and reverberation mark‑ups.
  • Support consultants with environmental noise data collection, processing, and analysis when required.
