The Role

Capstone is looking for an experienced, forward‑thinking People Business Partner to lead our People agenda across the London office and broader EMEA region while shaping key global talent and development initiatives. As the senior People lead in‑region, you’ll partner closely with UK/EMEA leadership as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, organizational design, performance, promotions, and other core people matters.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our culture, strengthening engagement, and ensuring UK/EMEA needs are reflected in global programs and policies. Globally, you’ll help advance talent management efforts, particularly for investment staff, including career pathways, succession planning, capability assessments, and high‑potential identification. You’ll also influence the global L&D strategy, support a meaningful performance management process, and work closely with People Operations, Recruitment, and Total Rewards to deliver a cohesive employee experience.

We’re looking for someone curious, commercially minded, and proactive, who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and balances strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. This role reports to the Head of People and offers a unique opportunity to shape both regional and global talent outcomes.

Responsibilities and Impact

HR Business Partnering & Leadership (London & EMEA)

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for the UK and EMEA region, operating as a strategic partner to regional leadership
  • Provide general HR guidance/counsel to UK/EMEA business leaders, managers, and employees on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to talent strategy, headcount planning/organizational design, performance management & performance issues, promotions and other people‑related matters
  • Lead all UK/EMEA employee relations matters, including advanced and complex ER cases, working closely with legal counsel to ensure compliant, consistent, and risk‑aligned outcomes
  • Drive engagement, culture, and change initiatives across the region to support a high‑performance, inclusive, and values‑aligned workplace
  • Ensure UK‑specific people strategy is integrated into global people programs, enabling seamless execution across time zones and teams
  • Partner with Global People Operations to align UK/EMEA processes, policies, and employee experience with firmwide standards while ensuring regional needs and legal requirements are met
  • Act as a key connector between Global People Operations, Recruitment and UK leadership to ensure an integrated and seamless employee experience

Talent Management & Organizational Development (Global)

  • Lead talent management strategy for investment teams, including career pathways, succession planning, capability assessment, and high‑potential identification
  • Partner with the Head of HR on global strategic talent planning: workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership coaching
  • Play a key role in shaping the global L&D strategy by surfacing skill needs, influencing program design, and helping ensure employees have the tools and learning opportunities to grow
  • Partner with People Operations to support execution of the firm’s performance management cycle, ensuring meaningful performance discussions and actionable development outcomes

Future Colleague Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supporting investment professionals is preferred
  • 5‑10 years of varying HR functional experience, including time spent as an HRBP or HR Generalist
  • Experience in organizational development and/or talent management a plus
  • Experience within financial services preferred
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior leaders in high‑performance, growth‑oriented organizations
  • Self‑starter, highly motivated with the ability to learn fast and contribute
  • Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations
  • Resourceful, flexible and creative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should be able to communicate clearly and concisely with employees of all levels

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
