Responsibilities
- Support the Service Manager with key targets by promoting and practicing high standards of nursing care, and ensuring staff and shifts are supervised in a smooth manner.
- Manage the home in the absence of the Service Manager.
- Assist the Service Manager with the audit process to ensure that the service is compliant with regard to all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Service Manager with E‑R related matters (e.g. absence management and disciplinary hearings).
- Oversee all aspects of medicine management and ensure the safe administration of medication in accordance with NMC Standards.
- Ensure through clinical governance and leadership that the care, health and safety of all residents is effectively implemented.
- Maintain records and paperwork including care plans and medication documentation.
- Ensure that care quality standards are constantly achieved.
Qualifications
You must hold a current registration with the NMC and have a relevant nursing qualification.
