The School of Life Sciences is looking for a proactive and highly organised Research Project Administrator to support the smooth delivery of an ERC‑funded research project.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative and financial support to the Principal Investigator and project team. You’ll coordinate key post‑award processes including purchasing, supplier setup, financial reporting, and monitoring project expenditure, ensuring the project runs efficiently and remains compliant with funder and university requirements.
You will also support wider governance activities such as Health & Safety and GDPR, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant systems and processes.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in administrative and financial support, ideally in research or higher education
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with financial and procurement systems
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Teams, finance systems)
- The ability to build effective working relationships
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
Your working hours will be 14.50 hours per week for a Fixed Term ending 31/12/2027.
