We are looking for someone with the ambition to lead the company into its next growth phase and progress into general manager role.You need to have both an electronic/electrical qualification to HNC level at least, and the desire for self-improvement, which the company will support in its plan for growth & diversification.
The company is a long-established Midlands-based manufacturer specialising in lighting and electrical solutions for clients across the UK and internationally.
This role would suit someone with an electrical or electronics background, from junior to experienced level, who enjoys problem-solving and wants to develop their career within a supportive engineering environment.
What we need from you:
- Experience in electrical or electronic design
- Ambition to develop their career into general management
- Hands on approach supported by a strong problem-solving ability and desire to learn
- Ability to work well with customers, staff, and contractors
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
What the role involves:
Reporting to the Managing Director, responsibilities will vary depending on your level of experience, but will include:
- Designing customer solutions (products and systems)
- Liaising with key suppliers & selecting components & system designs
- Completing site surveys and reports for approval to local authorities
- Supporting tender proposals
- Some potential overseas travel
Salary: Competitive, negotiable depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
Hours: Working full time -Monday to Thursday 8:00am 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am 1:00pm.
