Job Role: Fleet Coordinator in Lisburn

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Coordinator to join their growing team operating across Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles and plant remain fully compliant, roadworthy, and operational in accordance with Northern Ireland transport legislation and company procedures and will be responsible for a fleet consisting of:


  • 15+ Trucks
  • 15+ Vans
  • 20+ Items of Plant Equipment


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing fleet compliance documentation and renewal schedules including:
    - Vehicle Tax
    - Insurance
    - PSV / DOE requirements
    - MOT bookings
    - Thorough Examination Certificates
    - LOLER / PUWER records
    - Tachograph and O Licence related records
    - Service and inspection documentation
  • Monitoring daily vehicle and plant inspections through a tracking /prestart application
  • Scheduling preventative maintenance and defect repairs
  • Liaising closely with mechanics, workshop staff, and management to ensure fleet uptime
  • Maintaining accurate digital maintenance and compliance records
  • Coordinating servicing, inspections, breakdowns, and repairs
  • Ensuring all drivers complete daily walkaround checks correctly
  • Assisting with audits and compliance inspections
  • Monitoring fuel usage, fleet performance
  • Planning and coordinating daily low loader plant movements and overseeing 8-wheelerlogistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of equipment and materials.


Essential Requirements

  • 35 years experience in a similar fleet, transport, or plant coordination role
  • Strong understanding of fleet compliance and transport regulations within Northern Ireland
  • Experience managing maintenance schedules and compliance systems
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
  • Competent in the use of digital fleet management and tracking applications


Preferred Requirements

  • Full clean Licence
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle workshop operations
  • Experience with plant and transport compliance systems
  • CPC qualification advantageous but not essential
