The Role
This position is predominantly factory-based, focusing on precision fabrication and TIG welding, with occasional site installation work as required. The successful candidate will take pride in producing high-quality finished products and working to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding of stainless steel, mild steel, brass, and copper
- Fabrication of bespoke metal components from technical drawings
- Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings accurately
- Working to high-quality finish standards and tight tolerances
- Assembly and fitting work within the workshop
- Occasional installation and fitting work on-site
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to meet project deadlines
Criteria
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder / Fabricator
- Strong TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel
- Ability to work independently from drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
- Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Full driving licence essential
- Willingness to undertake occasional site work
Desirable Experience
- Site installation or fit-out experience
- Experience within bespoke or architectural metalwork
