The Open University is recruiting for an Administrator to work in The Open Universitys Reading for Pleasure (RfP) Research and Practice Coalition which is the flagship of the Literacy and Social Justice Centre. The Coalition focuses on promoting volitional reading within and beyond schools to improve children and young peoples literacy outcomes, wider attainment and well-being. It frames reading as a right, emphasising the "will" over the "skills" of reading and works to foster a lifelong love of reading in the young. The teams diverse professional development, programmes, consultancy, evaluations and knowledge exchange work involves schools, teachers, librarians, charities, literacy organisations, authors, publishers and many others. We are seeking an administrator to support this work and its accompanying website.

Working Location:It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes Office, it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. Wed expect this to be twice per month, but this could be more often if business needs dictate. Working 100% based from our Milton Keynes site is also supported if this is preferred by the candidate. Expenses associated with travel to our Milton Keynes site are not reimbursable.
Working Pattern: This role is 11 hours per week and the expectation will be for the successful candidate to work 1.5 days over the week and the days worked can be negotiated.
