Job Title: Meter Reader
Location: Based between Limavady & Greysteel, with some coverage up to Dungiven
Contract: 9-Month Rolling

This is a great opportunity to join Northern Ireland's leading utilities provider as a Meter Reader, working in your local community. You'll play an important role in providing accurate meter readings and delivering excellent customer service.

Pay & Benefits

• £12.21 per hour for the first 12 weeks

• £14.10 per hour after 12 weeks

• Bonus incentives

• Mileage allowance: 40p

• Full training provided

• Temporary ongoing role with potential longer-term opportunities

Hours

• Full-time - 37 hours per week

• Flexible working between:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00-20:00

  • Saturday: 09:00-13:00

About the Role

As a Meter Reader, you will:

• Visit customer properties to record electricity meter readings accurately

• Input data using a handheld device / smartphone app

• Work independently and meet daily/weekly targets

• Represent NIE Networks professionally and provide good customer service

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, customer-focused individual

• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) and your own car

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently

• Willingness to travel within the patch

• The ideal candidate will have good geographical knowledge of the Limavady and Greysteel areas

• Knowledge of Dungiven is a bonus
