About the Job
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and support all year-end accounting activities
- Manage general accounting duties including sales ledger, purchase ledger, multi-currency bank reconciliations, credit control, and stock management
- Support and implement effective financial controls and best business practices across the finance function
- Oversee foreign exchange transactions and related financial processes
- Monitor and manage company cashflow to support operational and strategic objectives
- Supervise and support junior members of the finance team
- Produce monthly management reports, including key business KPIs, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met
- Assist with financial analysis and provide insight to support management decision-making
Previous experience
- Previous experience working in a busy office environment
- Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or currently studying your ATI (Desirable) or Part Qualified Accountant/ Newly Qualified Accountant
