As part of this highly successful, global organisation, the European business now requires an HR Advisor to join the team and play a critical role in providing generalist HR advisory support across the European business.
This role will partner closely with managers across the regions to support their teams across all HR related matters acting as a trusted advisor throughout every stage of the annual HR cycle.
Candidates should note that there will be an element of flexible/ agile working with this role.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of HR Operations for the region, as the HR Advisor, the role will have responsibility for, but not limited to:
- providing a generalist HR advisory service throughout the European division
- collaborating with talent acquisition teams and oversee recruitment campaigns, where applicable
- collaborating with wider HR colleagues to achieve a better understanding of current HR issues and introduce the most effective solutions
- producing contractual documentation, including offer letters, contracts and variation to terms letters
- supporting the enhancement of the global HR Information Systems including testing, training and support; being an advocate for the platform
- monitoring and reporting on HR metrics to support decision making processes
- supporting the annual HR calendar of activities including pay reviews, objective setting and performance reviews
- supporting European projects and initiatives as required
- carry out job architecture assessments to support the employee development, compensation and benefits strategy
- support the strategies to drive diversity and inclusion improvements across the division
The Candidate:
Ideally of graduate standard, candidates for the HR Advisor role will have preferably worked within a business or HR focused discipline, gaining previous work experience in a generalist HR advisory role.
Candidates for the HR Advisor role will preferably also have achieved, or be working towards their further CIPD qualifications.
In addition, candidates for the HR Advisor role will be required to demonstrate that they have:
- solid planning and organisational skills, with a close attention to detail
- previously worked within a complex or multi-national organisation
- advanced working knowledge of MS software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- a working knowledge of HR information systems
- experience of Mercer Job Architecture and SAP SuccessFactors
- excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to success
- the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
Candidates for the HR Advisor role should also be:
- a pro-active, hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative and has a positive, professional attitude
- a strong, customer focused individual with the presence and ability to communicate, motivate and influence at the highest level
- capable of working as part of a team or under your own initiative to meet required targets and deadlines
European language skills would be a benefit but are not essential and candidates should note that from time to time, there will be some travel throughout the European division with this role.
