Import Coordinator - FMCG Supply Chain
Location: Surrey. Hybrid working, 2 days working from home per week

This role is of an Import Coordinator which is central to managing the end-to-end customs and regulatory compliance for both import and export operations across the UK and EU. You will ensure the smooth flow of finished goods across borders whilst maintaining 100% accuracy in all customs documentation and declarations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete import flow of finished goods from EU to GB
- Complete import customs declarations within agreed service level agreements with 100% accuracy
- Maintain e-customs clearance platform data to ensure accuracy and system integrity
- Keep import trackers updated and accurate, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Manage import audit reports and support preparation of annual customs broker audits for trade compliance
- Troubleshoot and mitigate customs issues until resolution, ensuring uninterrupted goods flow
- Keep export trackers updated and accurate throughout the shipment lifecycle
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual data entry
Essential skills and experience:
- Demonstrated high degree of accuracy with data entry and numerical information
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail across all customs documentation and declarations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Organised approach to planning and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of import and export regulations and documentation requirements
The salary bracket for this position is from £30,000 - £34,000 + bonus and benefits.
